By Iron Man:

Introduction:

Hello My name is Brian but all my friends call me Iron for as long as I could remember. I have been an avid Pro-wrestling fan since the early 90's. I kinda knew from the early years that it was a work because I knew that there is no way that a person could take that many shot and not have any bruises or not have problems walking normally. Even after I figured out the true nature of the industry I fell in love with it because I seen the talent and entertainment it took to provide the show.

Last year I started to get more and more intrenched with podcast after podcast looking for good ones that were centered around Pro-wrestling. I have found several that I still enjoy to this day that I will not name out of respect towards this site. Around two months ago I came across the shows that this network was putting out. From episode number one I have formed a liking to these shows. I gave the site a searched to see what other goodies I could find. When I saw that the staff members were looking for a creative writer I knew I had better give it a shot since I have been writing for a long time. I hope that my writing is in a quality that is acceptable for the site.

Chopping Block Rules

Every week I will be picking various aspects of WWE(F) and picking it apart and voicing my opinion on them. I will only be covering Raw,Smackdown, and the various PPV's through out the year. I am well aware of the fact that there are several programs that I am leaving out. I want to concentrate on the main three programs that are the most important. I will also be going over past wrestlers, promo's and any other aspects you might have came across in the past as well as the present and future. If you are easily offended or a simple minded mark then you should continue searching the internet searching for sites to troll because I will respond to all comments or email and shut down any of them that I find to be stupid. If you're still here then that means you are wanting to read the entertaining articles that I have to offer. So with out further waiting this is the chopping block.

Episode #01 Spring cleaning

On episode #01 I am going to be going over staff that I think that need to be let go once their contract is up. These people are doing nothing but taking up space that could be used for talent that could actually be pushing the programs towards a better product. If I was in charge I would put these wrestlers on the chopping block and get rid of them.

The first wrestler to be placed upon the Chopping Block is none other than The Great Khali.

There is so many things that I could go over about this individual. As a wrestler he is just so terrible that he can not even be considered an enhancement talent. In order to be considered for enhancement talent for other wrestlers you have to be able to do more than hand chops and lifting their leg up. Other than the strong men such as John Cena and Mark Henry and any other strong man talent on the roster that need to show off their strength by lifting him up. He mainly just stands there in the ring waving his arms around. Don't get me started on his promo skills because I think anyone that thinks he needs to be given a mic should be kicked in the pants. I am aware that some people are just terrible or are trying to get better at cutting promos. When you have to have your words subtitled on the Adam Sandler film “The Longest Yard”. Then you have a problem because how are you going to be able to push a feud when you can not talk to anyone besides an interpreter. There have been several wrestlers that have had a mouth piece that spoke for them because they were not that great at cutting a promo. The difference between them and The Great Khali is the fact that when it comes down to it the other wrestler could cut a promo in English that you could understand. It all comes down to a simple question you have to ask yourself. If Khali was given any of the belts would he add or take away from the prestigious history of the belt? So cut him loose and hire a talent that has a better chance of improving the current product.

The next wrestler to be placed upon the chopping block is Sin Cara.

I was one of the many people out there that had a lot of hope for Sin Cara based upon the matches that he has had in other promotions. If any of you all out there ever get a chance to see some of his matches from Mexico you should give them a try. WWE has been doing their own way of doing things for a few years now. I have noticed that sometimes when a wrestler that has spent some time in the Indies making a name for themselves. They have a hard time transitioning into the way that WWE does things. I have always loved the Lucha Libre style of wrestling. I think WWE needs more of this style right now to help bring the level of the matches up a few points. The matches these days have been pretty stagnant and predictable. You can't really blame the audience for not really getting into a match when they have seen a move list done so many times in a row. You need to have the move list done in a way where you do not know who is going to win and either person has a chance to win. Now days it never fails almost every match has a person that is most likely going to win. To many one sided matches are boring and I would like to hear from anyone that says other wise.

You know a wrestler is not doing to well and WWE management knows it also when you have the ring dimmed and tinted a darker color. This is to help make it less obvious that some of the moves are not as clean as they should be. I know that Sin Cara has a lot of potential to be a better wrestler according to how WWE do things. I think they should either get rid of him or send him to NXT to get some training so he can be a lot better at his moves. Moving him to NXT would free up a spot on the roster that some one could be called up from NXT. There is several wrestlers that I think they are ready for the major leagues now or the near future.

That's all I am going to go over in this episode of the chopping block. There is others that I feel that need to be added to the topic for the chopping block. I will save those names for a future episode of the chopping block. I hope you enjoyed this episode and come back for future episodes. If you have any questions or ideas for topics for me to go over do not hesitate to drop me a line and I will consider them for future episodes.

This is the Iron Man signing out so see you next episode.
