Yea it's a kids movie but so what? If your like me, then a good kids is something you enjoy once in awhile. And let me tell you something, this is a really good one at that.
Now if your a fan of the original movie from 2001, Monsters, Inc., then you will find this prequel very entertaining. The story starts off with a very young Mike Wazowski falling in love with the idea of being a top scarer. So he enrolls in Monsters University. From there he meets a monster who eventually becomes his best friend named, Sully.
Now you know me, I hate to give away spoilers. So I won't be doing anything like that. But in this movie, we learn about how some of the beloved monsters from the first movie, came to be.
Now there were a couple things with the movie that made me scratch my head just a little bit. While this is prequel, the movie is set for the most part in the modern day. Which means we didn't go back in time. But then again, I might just be over looking something miniscule. However, just when the movie was about to come to close you begin to ask yourself, how the hell does this tie into the first movie? But then we find out. So that might be only real gripe since they just glance over the linking.
So if your looking for a good, innocent, fun, and entertaining movie for the kids, then this is the perfect movie for them and not to mention you.
